About Dorian
Popular and much loved Welsh Artist Dorian Spencer Davies is known for his beautiful colourful quirky paintings.
Dorian is originally from Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, but grew up in Pembrokeshire where he has always been inspired by the sea, boats and harbours, subjects which feature heavily in his work.
He attended Dyfed College of Art from 1979-1983 where he graduated in Wildlife Illustration and gained membership of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers with distinction.
When he left college he taught Art & Design before embarking on a career in London designing over 40 books for Dorling Kindersley.
Upon returning to Wales, Dorian started painting full time in his unique colourful and curvy watercolour style. With over 60 exhibitions under his belt Dorian has become a well-established and collected artist.
Dorian has recently had his Welsh Castles colouring book published and following many clients over the years asking for his images to be available on homeware, he has now launched Living by Dorian Spencer Davies.
